Another successful round of Retailer of the Season has concluded with six new winners taking over from their spring predecessors. Like in the previous seasons, the competition has been run in six North Lanarkshire towns and has, once again, integrated two stages.

Stage 1 saw the participants voting throught the website for their three favourite businesses in their town. Overall, we received 506 valid submissions, an average of 84 entries per town. Those businesses with the highest number of votes were shortlisted to make it into stage 2.

In Stage 2, people could only vote for one of the finalists through Facebook. A total of 2,437 valid entries among the 6 towns were registered in this stage. Although things have calmed down compared to the spring edition, where over 4,000 votes were counted for stage 2, this still is an impressive turnout that proves the community is keen on taking part to recognise their favourite local businesses. Wishaw, Motherwell and Coatbridge were the towns with the higher levels of participation here, with over 500 entries each.
